Learning Goal: Students will be able to offer tips to other teenagers on coping with the challenges of growing up.
Activity 2: Classroom Discussion
Discuss the challenges generated as a class and record these on the board.
A 13 year old boy could be almost 6 feet tall but still be interested in the same social activities he enjoyed when he was 11 or 12 years old. |
Activity 3: Group Graffiti
Students are to assemble into groups (3 or 4), and get paper/markers for this activity. In these small groups, discuss strategies for coping with the challenges we identified in Activity 2. Record, draw, or organize all of your ideas and strategies onto the paper provided.
